Sharron was an active member of her three children’s public school Parent Clubs for 22 years, serving as an ordinary member and president at both primary and secondary levels. She also served on school council for over 10 years, as a councillor and president. Sharron has volunteered with ACSSO since 2008 and currently holds the position of President.

Sharron has volunteered with Parents Victoria Inc. for almost 20 years and is currently the Immediate Past President and Chair of Parents Victoria, the Victorian member organisation of ACSSO. Founded in 1925 as the peak body representing the collective views of parents in public education in Victoria, Parents Victoria was also a founding member of ACSSO.

Sharron is passionate about bringing equity to education, ensuring each and every child and young person in Australia has an amazing educational experience and is supported to fulfil their dreams and potential. She is determined to inform educators and policy makers about the importance of embedding Family Engagement practices into every classroom to ensure this happens.
