Abstract Description
Join the ACT Council of Parents & Citizens Associations and a panel of leading ACT public educators as they explore how family engagement transforms the education experience for students with disabilities or additional needs.
The panel discussion will uncover how and why partnering and engaging with families of students with disabilities is critical to creating classrooms where every student belongs, feels safe and accepted for who they are. Using on-the-ground experiences, panellists will outline best practice examples of family and school partnerships, how to support students to succeed, and practical ideas which have helped build robust school and family relationships so that often challenging circumstances can be successfully navigated.
