A practical and engaging workshop in which participants will  gain an understanding of the difference between Family involvement and Family Engagement ,step one in the journey of effective family engagement. The second part of the workshop will help participants learn how to "re imagine " low impact family involvements to higher impacting family engagement with school and learning. The workshop will also provide useful  "take away resources" for schools to use in engaging families including the protocol for very popular "Guided learning walk for Families-see the learning in action." and the program "Enrol the whole family not just the child"
The session will be highly interactive and model effective engagement in learning approaches.
